Sugar in the Raw, is a dance film, directed and conceived by Cat Mahari  that explores repetition as a catalyst for change in Black community and individual identities through the intimacy of Chicago-style Stepping. It is an experiential tracing of repetition and Blackness in relation to the Great Black Migrations of the 20th century.
